Considering the fact that Over 2.5 billion people have social media accounts, and more than 250 billion photos have been uploaded to Facebook, it’s not really a secret that standing out from the crowd, and getting the attention you deserve is a difficult task.
That’s why, in this article, I’ll present my favorite ways to cut through the noise on social media, increase your visibility, and gain more followers.
In this article, you’ll find the most Basic Tips To Make Followers And Page Visible On Social Media:
1. Complete your profile bio
Your profiles on social media are what will display and portray our brand.
No matter if you’re on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or any other social platform, your profile is equally important.
Let’s say you are going out for a dinner. Of course, you want to look good.
Right?
The same goes for your social media profiles. You always want to make them look presentable, and show your brand in the best light possible, because your profile is the first thing people will see when encountering your brand on social.
After all, we know how important the first impression is.
Add a profile picture
As a brand, you want to add your logo as your profile picture, and then have it across all your social platforms. Not only does this help make people associate your logo with your brand, it also makes it easier for people to recognise you across platforms.
Pick a username
If they are available, having the same username on all your social platforms is also a good idea. Again, having your brand name is the obvious thing to opt for.
Why?
If you see a brand and want to search them up on social media, what do you search for?
Their brand name of course!
By using your brand name, and having it consistently across all your social platforms, you make it easy for people to find you, and recognise your accounts across different platforms.
Bio
All social platforms offer you the ability to write a bio/description.
Your bio is the most important part of your profile, because that’s what will present your brand’s personality and capture the interest of your profile visitors.
- You want to achieve the following things:
- Describe your brand/what you do
- Show your personality (a joke if suitable is always appreciated)
- Include contact info (if this cannot be placed anywhere else in your bio)
When your bio does all of these things, you can proudly say that you have an acceptable bio.
2. Follow users in your niche
As you are building your authority in your niche, you want to build relationships and make friends with people in your niche. Having contacts with individuals who are doing the same thing as you is extremely valuable as you can share experiences, discuss tips on how to get better results, and also help each other reach success.
3. Like posts in your industry
Liking other posts in your niche is essential for getting your account seen by those who aren’t already following you, yet might be interested in doing so.
As you might know, most accounts share good enough content to have a lot of followers, the only problem is that they don’t get seen and discovered. By liking other people’s posts, the people who receive a like will get a notification, thus getting your page visible. Even if just at a much smaller scale.
To find people in your niche whose posts you can like, you can do the following:
- Visit your competitors and see what people have liked their posts
- Search for a keyword relevant to your niche in hashtags
- Look at the people who are following your competitors
4. Comment on others posts
Liking, following, and commenting all fall into the same category of engaging, so the rules and tricks of doing them are almost the same.
If you can, why not do all of them? As a result, you’ll have a bigger chance of generating good efforts from them.
When commenting, avoid commenting general terms that can be seen as spam. This will only hurt you.
Make sure you leave comments that are genuine and are very clearly written by a human and related to that post.
Once again, commenting on other people’s posts will give them a notification, thus giving you more visibility.
5. Make daily post related your business’s subject
Kind of a no-brainer, but the content you share on social media is critical for success because all social platforms spend on it.
On social media, the 80/20 rule is often talked about. This means sharing 80% content that provides value to your audience, and 20% promotional content.
Of course, you don’t want to bombard your audience with promotive ads, because that’s not why they are on social media.
That’s not what they want to see.
People are on social media because they want to have a good time, and your ads won’t give them that most of them time.
These are brands who successfully incorporates their products into posts that provide value, which means that they can still get marketing and exposure of their products, at the same time as they are providing their audience with content which they feel is valuable.
6. Increase your reach by using hashtags
Hashtags are not effective on all platforms and should therefore not be used across them all. However, some platforms generate tremendous results and an increased visibility thanks to hashtags, and on those sites, hashtags aren’t something you should ignore.
Facebook is an example of a platform where hashtags isn’t as effective. And that’s why almost no one uses them anymore.
Instagram and Twitter, on the other hand, are very effective with hashtags. Use the right hashtags, and you’ll get a boost in your exposure and increase your visibility.
Apart from what some people think, it is far more beneficial to use hashtags which are relevant to your niche as opposed to just using the most popular hashtags. That’s because with highly targeted hashtags, you’ll attract the right people, and actually those who care about what you post.
7. Never spam post ( 1 to 5 post in a day is optimal)
You might believe that the more you post, the more exposure and visibility you’ll get. And that’s a very reasonable thought.
Only that it isn’t true.
Not all social platforms have the same recommended post number, however, no matter which statistic you look at, they’ll all say that once a day is a minimum. Except if you look at LinkedIn.
By posting at least once a day, you make sure your brand is always on top of people’s mind and never forgotten.
If you want to be visible on social media, you should consider advertising and boosting your page through targeted ads.
Advertising will get you noticed from the millions of pages out there, helping you in networking with the larger influencers.
Also, depending on what your business page is all about, I would also consider setting up a social media contest to get more reach and exposure.
In today’s marketing world, there are so many things that fight for our audiences’ attention, and if you want to capture it, you need to bring something new to the table.
