How to Create Social Media Calls to Action
As you might have guessed, there’s ( unfortunately) not one “best call-to-action” because it depends on who you are, what you’re touting, and the aura surrounding yourself or brand. A call to action depends on your proposed audience. It also depends on what you are offering the audience. Are you an individual who just wants followers on your social media channels? Are you a small business owner selling children’s clothes?
Or are you a business who wants to sell a product or service to another business? All of these require a different call to actions, and that’s why we can’t give you a straight answer to the question “How to Create Social Media Calls to Action”.
As an individual or for B2B, the best kinds of call to actions that people usually respond to are the following:
- Webinar Blog posts
- Downloadable White Papers
- eBooks
- PDF’s
- Free trials
- (Giving them free things that are useful to them.)
It’s a big help to always ask yourself whether you would do what you’re asking others to do. Sometimes we get pigeonholed into thinking as a salesperson that we forget real people are reading what we say, and nobody likes someone telling them to do something. A call to action should be an action that you yourself would be willing to do.
B2C:
- Free samples
- Videos of products being used
- Great products
- Photos of the products
- Infographics, other relevant content to what you are selling
Once you have a good base and continue your content strategy, you might also want to consider some paid content, just to increase the reach below the followers you already have.
Want Action? Ask for It
The most important thing when it comes to calls for actions is that you are asking for it – but not desperately.
